Killzone 3 Update On The Way

A fairly big Killzone 3 update is expected to go live later this week.  The patch fixes a bunch of issues with online play and should definitely improve the Killzone 3 experience.  I definitely can't wait for the 1.04 patch to go live.  It will include the following changes:

Network - Lag fixes and fixes for network errors 10002, 8001 and 8013
Gameplay - Players now have more stamina by default. Sprint length is increased but the recharge timer has been adjusted to compensate
Gameplay - Mortally wounded players no longer have collision. Alive players should now be able to traverse the levels without getting stuck on mortally wounded players
Gameplay - Medic’s revive cool-down reduced from 25 to 10 seconds
Gameplay - Increased range from where friendly players can be revived – player can be revived from 20 meters now
Gameplay - Guerrilla Warfare games now last 15 minutes and it takes 100 kills instead of 50 to win
Performance – Improvements to party creation server load
Menu - Show envelope icon to indicate that player has received message
Menu - Rewards panel in post game screen now auto-scrolls
Menu - Botzone is now paused when player goes to start menu
Menu - Single click squad invite
Menu - Enhanced idle detection code in menu, the player isn’t spawned if he’s still pressing buttons
Security - Several security, anti hack and cheat fixes

New Screenshots for Dark Souls

New screenshots for Dark Souls have surfaced and they look pretty good.  Dark Souls is the sequel to Demon's Souls and will supposedly be more of a challenge if that's even possible.  Demon's Souls is one of the hardest games out there, so it's hard to believe that they are offering us an even greater challenge.  You can view the full gallery of screenshots HERE.

Dark Souls will not be a PS3 exclusive.  The game will also be available for the Xbox 360 this time around.

Will I ever play Tron: Evolution?

I'm not willing to shell out top price for Tron: Evolution (the game), so I just have to wait for it to become available on GameFly.  I've noticed that it's been in "Low Availability" since the day it came out, so it's either really popular or GameFly didn't order enough copies of the game.  The one thing I've learned it that GameFly will never send me a game that's less than "High Availability".  To be honest, I just want to play the game for the racing aspect, which was my favorite part of the movie.

Last Guardian Demo Possibly Headed to ICO/SotC Collection

The ICO and Shadow of the Colossus Collection could possibly be coming with a demo for The Last Guardian according to Teach Ico head Fumito Ueda.  I'm rarely excited about demos, but The Last Guardian is a game I've been looking forward to for a while now.  I'm also looking forward to repaying Shadow of the Colossus.  Nothing has been confirmed yet, but the inclusion of this demo looks very possible at this point.

RAGE Screenshots Look Amazing

RAGE is a first-person shooter set to release this September.  There can never bee too many post-apocalyptic games, so this title should be a welcome addition.  Some new screenshots for the game have surfaced and they look great.  Check out the full gallery HERE.
